About ISG
We are committed to understanding and minimising the environmental impact of our operations — through certified management systems, regulatory compliance and active initiatives that go beyond what the law requires.
Our Commitment
Environmental responsibility is embedded in how we operate — not treated as an afterthought. From the products we source and how we store them, to the packaging we use and the supply chains we are part of, we work to understand and reduce our environmental impact at every stage.
Our environmental management system is certified to ISO 14001:2015. This means we have a structured, independently audited framework for setting environmental objectives, monitoring our performance and driving continuous improvement across our operations.
All products we supply are assessed for compliance with the RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU and its UK equivalent), which restricts the use of hazardous substances including lead, mercury, cadmium and certain flame retardants in electrical and electronic equipment.
We maintain REACH compliance across our product range, working with suppliers to identify and communicate substances of very high concern (SVHCs). Declaration documentation is available on request for products supplied into regulated applications.
We are registered under the UK WEEE producer compliance scheme and provide guidance to customers on the responsible end-of-life disposal of electrical and electronic equipment. WEEE labelling is applied to applicable product lines.
We are actively reducing single-use plastics in our packaging and transitioning to recycled and recyclable alternatives. Packaging specifications are regularly reviewed to minimise material use without compromising product protection in transit.
We are working to measure our Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions across the group, with the goal of setting reduction targets aligned with the Paris Agreement. Energy efficiency improvements are being implemented across our UK and European sites.
"The Interconnect Solutions Group is committed to operating in a manner that protects the environment and minimises the impact of our activities wherever possible. We will comply with all applicable environmental legislation and regulations, work to prevent pollution, reduce waste and improve energy efficiency across our operations and set measurable environmental objectives that we monitor and report against annually. We recognise that environmental responsibility is an ongoing commitment and one that we take seriously at every level of the organisation."
For every customer who completes our satisfaction survey, ISG donates £1 to Treeapp — funding the planting of a real tree in a reforestation project. It is a small action, but one that connects our customer relationships directly to a tangible environmental outcome.
Treeapp is a UK-based platform partnering with certified reforestation projects across the globe — from mangrove restoration in Madagascar to native woodland planting in the UK. Every tree planted is tracked and verified.
