Founded in 1978 as a pure shrink tube dealer, Sommer GmbH has grown over four decades into a leading German distributor of shrink, cabling and connection technology. Based in Neuhausen near Stuttgart, the business became a subsidiary of Diploma PLC in 1998 — the same year Rayfast and Sommer first partnered to build a strong European interconnect presence.

Sommer is the ISG group's European distribution hub, providing German-language technical support and locally held stock across the full range of heat shrink tubing, wire and cable, adhesives, moulded parts and connector accessories. Certified to ISO 9001:2015, the business combines the depth of a specialist distributor with the product breadth and supplier relationships of the wider ISG group.

Sommer serves industrial, aerospace, automotive and defence customers across Germany and continental Europe, providing sound technical advice alongside rapid supply — the same service model that has been the cornerstone of the ISG group since 1987.
